Global strategy

The catalog is no longer an isolated island, it is an extension of your e-commerce.

In a unified vision, the paper catalog and the digital one are not opposed: they respond to each other. Technical automation makes it possible to perfectly align these two worlds for absolute brand consistency.

  • Unique data: Prices, descriptions and visuals synchronized Web & Print.
  • Time-to-Market: Launch your new collections simultaneously everywhere.
  • Conversion: Paper becomes an entry point to digital technology (QR codes, short links).

The requirement of Print at the service of your Digital Performance

Automating doesn't just mean “going faster.” This is the ideal opportunity to audit and perfect the structure of your product data in your PIM or ERP.

Forced structuring

Automation does not tolerate approximation. This process requires you to clean up your database (attributes, combinations) for a lasting benefit on all channels.

Global Enrichment

The precision work done for the paper (HD visuals, technical data) instantly feeds your PIM (Akeneo) and enriches your Shopify product sheet.

Real-time update

A price change in your ERP? It has an impact on your future catalog and your website instantly. No more silos of conflicting data.

By collaborating with Axome to develop new catalogs and visuals, we appreciated their effective management of backplanning and priorities, facilitating the progress of the project.

Do I have to have a PIM to automate?

Ideally, yes. The PIM (like Akeneo or Quable) is the cleanest source of truth. However, we can also connect EasyCatalog directly to your ERP, or even use a structured flow from your Shopify back office, as long as the data is clean and segmented.

Will my catalogs look like Excel tables?

Absolutely not. This is the strength of EasyCatalog coupled with InDesign. We define dynamic templates that respect your graphic charter. You keep total creative freedom for covers and editorial pages, while the tool fills the product grids accurately.

How much time do we actually save?

On the first creation, the gain is moderate because the data must be structured. But for updates (annual price changes) or combinations (promotional catalog, export), our customers divide their production time by 4 or 5, while eliminating the corrective review phases linked to input errors.

Do you manage multi-language?

Yes, it is one of the major advantages. If your translations are in your PIM or ERP, we can generate a German, English, or Spanish version of your catalog in a few clicks, using the same InDesign templates (the changing “Black Plate”, not the visual one).

How compatible is it with Shopify?

AsShopify experts, we know how to extract metafields and product variants to structure an XML or CSV data feed that can be used by EasyCatalog. Your e-commerce site thus becomes a reliable data source for your paper media.

Do you also provide artistic direction support?

Yes. Axome is a global agency. We have artistic directors specialized in Print who can design the initial model, before our technical experts intervene to “wire” this model to your data.

SEO expertise: The omnichannel approach and the integrity of product data

Catalog automation isn't just about increasing operational productivity; it's the cornerstone of a robust omnichannel strategy. By centralizing your data within a PIM (Product Information Management) such as Akeneo, Quable, or via a connected ERP, you guarantee the uniqueness of the information. This “Single Source of Truth” ensures that the SEO-optimized product description on your Shopify store is exactly the same as the one printed on your commercial brochure. At Axome, we transform this technical constraint into a growth driver: structured data for Print is data that performs better on Google Shopping and marketplaces. The use of solutions such as EasyCatalog combined with Adobe InDesign allows you to create dynamic bridges between your databases and your communication media. Unlike a manual layout, which is prone to human errors and incompressible deadlines, the automated flow allows immediate reactivity in the face of market fluctuations (price adjustments, changes in standards).

This agility is crucial for e-retailers managing thousands of references (SKUs) and wishing to deploy segmented or seasonal catalogs without increasing their payroll. Data integration doesn't end with the import of text. Digital asset management (DAM) and high-definition visuals are synchronized. When we connect your ecosystem, we ensure that technical attributes that are often overlooked are standardized. This rigor, imposed by the logic of EasyCatalog templates, indirectly improves your natural referencing. Indeed, a clean database, without duplicates and richly informed, promotes better indexing of your web product pages by search engines. Axome acts as a flow architect. Whether you are on an infrastructure Shopify, PrestaShop or a tailor-made solution, our role is to establish the appropriate data mapping. We process XML, CSV, or ODBC feeds so that they “speak” the desktop publishing language. This hybrid expertise, at the crossroads of web development and graphic execution, is rare.

The profitability of an automation project is also measured by Time-to-Market. In competitive sectors such as B2B, tooling or industrial supplies, publishing your general catalog two weeks before the competition is a decisive advantage. Automation reduces production cycles from several months to a few weeks. In addition, it frees your marketing teams from tasks with low added value (price copy and paste) to focus on semantic enrichment and performance analysis, real drivers of GSO (Global Search Optimization). Finally, Axome's global approach secures your investment. We don't just deliver InDesign scripts, but a sustainable methodology. By auditing your data sources beforehand, we anticipate bottlenecks (missing fields, inconsistent family structure). It is this 360° vision (sorry, Global) that makes our integrations successful: a paper catalog that becomes a tangible extension of your digital performance, and not an isolated cost center. It allows our customers to switch from a logic of “document production” to a logic of multi-channel “content distribution”.
